Coach "Eddie" began his martial arts journey in the sport of mixed martial arts and due to his strong high school wrestling background, adapted to the sport quickly. He was able to fight professionally, and faced top fighters in Arizona's circuit, Rage in the Cage, most notably a fight against former UFC World Champion, Dominick Cruz! After a handful of professional mixed martial arts fights, Eddie decided to focus more on his family and their interests and sports.
In 2016, Eddie decided to train in the discipline of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, along with his 2 daughters. He quickly found success, winning NAGA and NABJJF Grand Canyon State at Whitebelt and SJJIF Worlds at Bluebelt. In addition, Coach Eddie was able to win his Purplebelt Superfight debut for the 2019 D.A.N. Tournament, among other tournament wins.
